City form

Title: City form
Format: 28x18cm (image)
Technique: mixed media
Production year: 2011/15
The artwork shows an image of one of those high buildings that form the city-landscape. These buildings interaction with the sky in the background sometimes creates moments of interesting and quite beautiful formations. I made a silkscreen print of one such photo that I digitalized in Photoshop. The background is painted in yellow with oil paint, it is a little brighter in the edge. The image is part of a larger white quality art paper, the size is 53.5x39 cm.

Falling to you

Title: Falling to you
Format: 80x65x0.7cm
Technique: Oil on plate
Production year: 2015
«Falling to you» is an abstract painting made with oil on a compact mdf.plate.  I have used a mild palette, toned down, in shades of light green, grey and orange as well as white and black. The plate is covered with several linen fields, creating a lot of texture to the painting at close-up. «Falling to you» refers to the trust one leans on in relations to others.
The measures are approximate. I can make a back frame for it, so that the painting can be hung onto the wall as it is. The painting displays well several ways.

There is always room for one more

Title: There is always room for one more
Format: 65x54 cm
Tecnique: Oil on plate
Production year: 2015
«There is always room for one more» portrays the feeling of being welcomed, to a house with generosity. We re entering a quiet and calm room, the interior is painted as a mixture of clearly defined furniture, contours and some more diffuse areas. A woman is standing in the foreground, perhaps meeting you at the door, another person is sitting quietly in the chair.

The painting has some texture, in particular engravings of words and letters are visible at close-up.

Some people will stop at nothing

Title: Some people will stop at nothing
Format: 69x49.5 cm
Technique: Mixed media, mainly oil, on paper
Production year: 2015
The artwork is made mainly with oil paint on thick paper. The paper has some wounds on the side, I have chosen not to cover the wounds, I see them as part of the artwork, they are stabilized on the backside of the paper. I have painted an androgyn person, that seems to be opening a door, or perhaps she, or he, is looking at the world outside, from her or his residence. In the background we can see the contour of a window, and a diffuse view. I have used a mild palette, with a lot of light, and contrasted the soft with a rough outline and an orange field.

A new life

Title: A new life
Format: 122.2x74x5.3 cm (approximate)
Technique: Mixed media
Production year: 2015
«A new life» is made with mixed medias on a mdf.plate. I have used acrylic paint, and charcoal. The painting belongs to an abstract modern tradition. The title refers to life with all its storms, elements in motion, all the hardship and difficulties one has to meet, and the importance of finding a true harbour of love and caring where you can rest and feel safe.

The painting has a back frame made of wood, the sides are painted in the same palette as the painting. It is relatively deep and relatively heavy, but it can be hung on to the wall as it is. It is possible to split the back frame from the plate, with a little effort.

Calm sea

Title: Calm sea
Format: 54x65cm
Technique: Oil on plate
Production year: 2015
"Calm sea" is made with oil paint on a board. I have created an harmonic composition using white and soft tones of yellow, earthly pink, green and orange contrasted towards a blue and green area. The painting belongs to a modern abstract tradition. I have portrayed a vision of a clear calm sea, there is also an aspect of a personal experience connected to this vision, feelings or a mood of emotions that are deep and serene in its beauty.

The painting has some texture to it, and the middle area, in pink tones, is in the original incorporated more with the yellow.

Change, painting

Title: Change
Format: 100x100x4 cm
Production year: 2015
Technique: Oil on canvas
The painting is made with oil on canvas. I have used a scale of black, grey and white, in addition tones of earthly colours, as well as pink. The painting portrays a human figure, riding a horse, the person and the horse seem to be on their way towards something. The background is a landscape in black and grey, close to an abstract expression. The horse is depicted as a vision of pink, acknowledging the particular energy force, its form, or break of form, acknowledges that one, sometimes, has to choose differently to achieve fulfillment.

As far distant as the clouds
Are we now: and yet,
Like the moon that rides the sky
Back again, will I meet you

by the seaside

Alongside the path
Fresh water flows, and
In the willow’s shade
Just for å little while
Would  I take my ease

The passepartou size and colour is just a possibility for framing, the artwork would conform nicely with other sizes and colours.
