Composition

Title: No title (#1M)
Technique: Monotypi
Format: 34x31cm
Production: 2014. Paper.
Comment: The artwork is made with monotypi technique, the composition is a conscious choice, different from an intuitive creative process. The colors, in acrylic, are painted onto a glass surface for the offprint to paper. The artwork is unique. The sides of the work, that are not visible on the photo, have traces of white from the paper. The original is slightly lighter compared to the photo.

'Portrait of my nephew' is a mixed media work on quality art paper. Its base is a giclée print that I have painted with acrylic paint. The work is a portrait of a young man, reflecting a personality that does not have a particular place of identity in our culture. His personality does not coincide with the traditional gender roles that society normally presents.

The long day

Title: the long day
Technique: Oilpainting on paper
Format: 42x59cm
Production: 2014, in progress
The long day is an oil painting on paper. The base is a charcoal nude drawing. I have tried to portray one of those days, when life is totally exhausting, where you do not have anymore strength left to stand upright. It is a situation where the physical exhaustion is stronger than your mental awareness, and you do not bother about clothes, putting out lights, or taking notice or considering issues, you just fall asleep.

Time, silkscreen variations

Title: Time. Variation.

Format:36x34.5cm/53.8x38.5cm (paper)
Technique: Monoprint: Silkscreen. Digital. Ink. (Mixed media)
Production:T.P.Lá 2014. Unique. OE.
Comment: This monoprint is part of a variable edition of prints using the same silkscreen matrix. Unique impressions are made by applying different papers creating various backgrounds. There are also colour variations of the silkscreen print. On this monoprint digital technique is used to create the face. The image is printed by silkscreen technique. The lines are made by hand, with ink. (unfortunately, the photo is not giving away the best quality, the paper is all white).

I have used the same silkscreen matrix to make some variations of the image on different types of patterned paper. Four of the digital images are cropped. The original size is 30.5x30.5cm.
