"interior"
 is an acrylic painting on canvas. It is painted with rough strokes in an unfinished style. It portrays a room with two chairs, a table, a shelf and a flower pot with flowers. The room seems to be a living room. The space defined is not settled. On the outside you can see a house, this house is painted in the same unfinished rough style. Interior can imply both the inner or inside of things as well as the physical inside of a building or part of a house. I am not sure whether to work this painting further, so it is resting. It is 100x100cm. It is made with acrylic paint.

is a drawing on paper. I have used crayons and charcoal as well as colour pencils. The size is 42x59cm.  The drawing is to be part of a series that I have recently started working with, nudes.

Painting: Winter day (II)

"Winter day (II)"
I painted this curious little girl eager to make discoveries about the world around her. The light and the mood seem to be a winter day. The painting is 56x65cm in size. I have put up a backframe in untreated wood, app. 2 cm deep. The plate itself is 05.cm deep. The artwork is for sale.

Is an acrylic painting on a mdf.plate. I have also used dry crayons. The plate is covered with pieces of linen, creating a textured surface for the painting. The image is 66x80cm. It is for sale. It has 0.5 cm difference on the one side. The photo is slightly smaller on the sides compared to the artwork.

"The day it started to snow"
is a mixed media work on plate (54x65cm), it is made with oil crayons and oil, the background, the blue sky, is made with watercolour that has been worked with so long that it has become 'etched' into the plate.

painting: The national day parade (only norwegian flags please)

"The national day parade (only norwegian flags please)"is an acrylic painting on plate (size: 50x61cm).
At the moment there is a tensed debate in Norway about the national day parade, on the 17th of May. This day the children are marching the streets, all over the country, waving their flags to celebrate freedom from war and repression. The ongoing debate, that has heated up in parts of the population, concerns whether the children should be allowed to walk the parade with other flags than norwegian ones. Some people are of the opinion that other flags should be banned in the parade and that children with other flags than the norwegian ones should not be permitted to participate, others again feel that flags from other nationalities should be welcomed.

I spent my early childhood years in a small village in the outskirts of the northern part of Norway where the national parade appeared something similar to this.
